At high school my interest in performing
Arts was re-ignited and once again took up dancing, and started
singing more seriously as well as continuing to play the flute,
recorders and the piano. I won many awards at local festivals
and performed at many prestigious events such as the labour party
conference and at Theatre Royal, Drury lane London! I also travelled
on a singing tour to Italy and Barcelona whilst at school and
college.
On leaving school I took up performance-related A-levels
as well as an OCN in dance at Chichester College. On leaving college,
I trained professionally for 2 years at Bird College in Sidcup and
then trained for a year at the London Studio Centre, graduating with
a BA (Honours) dance and theatre performance (specialising in musical
theatre).
As far as performance goes, on graduation of College I created and played the
role of Edith in Oh What A Lovely War! I have played a huge diversity
of roles, from Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Sandy in Grease and
was in the company of Clippings The Musical at the Capitol Theatre in
Horsham. Most recently I played the lead role of Polly in Crazy For You with
Sussex Musical Productions and look forward to doing shows with them in the near
future.
