"My son Alexei is 11 years old and has attended RSOPA
since he was 8. He takes Ballet, Stretching, Tap, Modern
and Musical Theatre classes, and is taking dance exams again
this year. He is very happy when dancing and with his
classes as RSOPA offer so much to choose from and accommodates
every age group, you can even try out new classes for free
to see if you like them! We love the end of year shows
'Celebrate', it gives each child a chance to shine and
you get to see what has been learnt whilst they perform
on a stage, with costumes and make up in front of an audience while gaining confidence
throughout the show. And everyone regardless of their age who
take classes has the chance to take part. RSOPA even
have their own 'Shop' where you can buy all your dancing uniform,
shoes etc under one roof, at least you know you have
bought the correct items and what with their own experienced
and patient staff on hand to help with your purchases and correct
fitting, they're always willing to order items in if need be.

"The attendance at RSOPA and A4T have given my son
a sense of purpose and belonging, he has developed and
maintained positive relationships both within the groups
and outside with other members, he has also started to
excel at school. In the last month he won a festival
medal for his singing at the Brighton and Hove Youth
music festival.
The above groups operate within a culture of celebrating
diversity, building on the strengths of individuals thus
helping to shape young people into responsible caring
adults.
The other benefit of the groups is the low cost, as a
single parent (widowed) it’s not easy to access
this type of experience for your child without paying
large amounts of money for it."

"Sammie started Musical Theatre at RSOPA
in October 2007 and quickly fell in love with the friendly,
fun, safe and caring environment. The group is like an
extendened family and has given Sammie the confidence
to try other forms of dance and singing. It has provided
invaluable, enjoyable and rewarding opportunites such
as festivals, exams and real life theatre productions
none of which I could have imagined were possible. I
highly recommend RSOPA."

Jazz, private singing lessons and a member of Anyone4theatre?
"Since my son has joined RSOPA he has developed with the guidance
and care of a passionate team of teachers who genuinely want
him to achieve his personal successes. I will always
be thankful for the tools your team is giving him as he becomes
a man."

"I feel I have to say RSOPA is such a friendly
and fun environment to be in. It has a huge range of positive
impacts on the local community, because it has given Worthing
such a different dance school compared to other. It offers
dance lessons to toddlers all the way up to adults which is
excellent, but it’s another place where children can
pursue a hobby or even realistically a career. The school
provides fun days, workshops, film nights you
name it, we are always involved in something. I mean speaking
from my point of view the school has excelled in many ways;
I travel from Rustington because I know RSOPA is a safe and
inspiring dance school. I could go to a dance school in Littlehampton,
but I don’t because I have always felt welcomed from
the start and I have never enjoyed such a hobby like this.
RSOPA has given me so much confidence and focus; I used to
really hate school and was suspended three times. My mum was
on a low paid job and Amelia helped so much to make it possible
for me to afford it. I’m not very technical at my dancing,
I’m pretty rubbish but RSOPA doesn’t care about
that. RSOPA has encouraged me for 5 years now and without it
I may have been expelled from school because the teachers related
to me and treated me like a grown up and encouraged me to expect
more from myself. I have seen so many kids like me change and
I hope to go on giving to my community and that’s because
Amelia has inspired me."

"As
a parent who attended dance lessons from the age of 2 I was very
keen to get my 2 year old daughter involved in dancing classes. I
researched all the dance schools in Worthing and contacted several
who offered classes on a Saturday and Miss Amelia was quick to
respond. I was impressed with the information booklet and very
excited about Niamh having a trial session, as was she. Niamh
went along on to the Tots Bots for her trial and we were made
to feel very welcome by Miss Amelia, Miss Georgia and all the
parents there.
Niamh joined in the lesson with enthusiasm which pleased me no end, but what
impressed me most was that it was child friendly music and the lesson was pitched
at just the right level and that every child was made to feel special. As
a Nursery Teacher I have plenty of experience with the under 5’s and Miss
Georgia is a natural. Niamh idolises her and gets very excited about her
ballet classes and she especially likes her noisy shoes (tap shoes). After
every lesson she shows us what ‘Miss Georgia says we do this’ and
quite often does heel, toe, heel, toe around Tescos! I am so pleased that I found
RSOPA and as a family we have been very impressed with the family feeling we
get when we go. We are still quite new to the school but are very excited
about the future classes and shows. I would and have been recommending RSOPA
to friends; quite simply it’s the best."
